The RO-BIKI NOTE Texture Series is a new series that challenges the expression of the texture of the paper itself, which is further accentuated by applying a wax finish. Each cover is created using engraved press rolls that form subtle embossed patterns, paired with carefully controlled color tones inspired by raw materials. After applying the signature wax finish, the texture and depth become even more pronounced, showing beautiful transparency contrasts based on the wax content. This series highlights the charm of paper in a new, elevated way.
Edo Cha was a beloved color during the Edo period (1603–1867). The name “Edo” was added to distinguish it from the browns of Kyoto, the capital at the time, giving it a unique identity tied to the culture of Edo. This warm, earthy shade was widely used for kosode garments and became known as one of the signature colors of everyday life in Edo.
RO-BIKI NOTE is a notebook with a waxed paper cover that evolves over time. As you use it, the waxed kraft paper darkens and wrinkles, giving it a vintage look that becomes more personal with age. The notebook features high-quality ivory writing paper with a textured feel, selected from years of paper expertise. It offers excellent writing performance and is compatible with pencils, ballpoint pens, fountain pens, and dip pens - perfect for both writing and drawing.
