Market the Cat - Mini Gauze Towel

These mini gauze towels are produced by Mango Art Company and feature an original character by Taiwanese artist and illustrator A-Meow, with the design screen printed by hand using PataPri’s silk screen printing technique.

Made in Japan using a soft and lightweight 100% cotton Imabari gauze towel, the front has a smooth gauze texture while the back is made with absorbent towel fabric. The towel is soft, highly absorbent, and quick-drying, making it a practical size for everyday use.

A-Meow is known for her warm and humorous cat designs, created using a variety of techniques including colored pencils, watercolors, oil pastels, and digital drawing. Inspired by her own clever orange-and-white kitten, her work combines color, creativity, and everyday moments with cats. In 2020, she created the original tuxedo cat character “Market The Cat,” which has become popular among cat lovers.

The towel is hand printed by PataPri, a Japanese hand-printing brand founded by Yuko Uemura in Chicago in 2007. Now based in a seaside atelier in Akiya, Yokosuka City, PataPri creates original textile and paper goods with carefully selected materials and hand-printing techniques.

Part of this collection is curated through C/STORE, a creative platform bringing art closer and making it more enjoyable and accessible through works and original goods by various artists.
