The Hobonichi Graph Notebook features a botanical drawing of Yamazakura, or mountain cherry, by Dr. Tomitaro Makino, known as the Father of Japanese Botany. Originally drawn for the first volume of his Flora Japonica in 1900, the highly detailed illustration captures the delicate structure of the cherry blossoms and branches with remarkable precision.

Inside, the notebook uses the same 3.7mm graph paper as the Hobonichi Techo Original, printed on thin and durable Tomoe River paper. The graph paper color changes every 60 pages in A6 and every 72 pages in A5, making it easy to divide the notebook into different sections or quickly find older entries. The notebook also opens completely flat for comfortable writing and drawing.

Available in A6 and A5 sizes to match the Hobonichi Techo Original and Cousin, the A6 contains 240 pages and the A5 contains 288 pages. Both sizes can be used with compatible Hobonichi Techo covers, making it easy to carry alongside your planner and store pens, sticky notes, and other stationery.

Whether used as a companion to your Hobonichi Techo or as a standalone notebook, this Graph Notebook provides plenty of space for writing, drawing, notes, and everyday ideas.

Please note that Tomoe River paper is highly ink-friendly but, depending on the pen, ink, amount used, and environmental conditions, some inks may take longer to dry or show through the page. Testing your pens beforehand or using a pencil board or blotting paper is recommended.
