Hobonichi Techo 2027 HON - A5 - V&A Series: Vine

Created in collaboration with the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A) in London, this edition celebrates the Arts and Crafts patterns of William Morris and his creative companions.

The cover features Morris’ “Vine” design, originally created in 1873 for hand-printed wallpaper. Ripe grape clusters wind through lush leaves, reflecting Morris’ love of nature and its influence on the Arts and Crafts Movement. The design is printed on a canvas-like material that preserves the original sketch lines and natural variations in the ink, while gold-foil embossing features Morris’ famous words: “Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful.”

The A5-size HON features the same contents as the Hobonichi Techo Cousin, including monthly pages, daily pages, and vertical weekly spreads that let you plan each week across a two-page layout. Its thread-stitched binding allows the book to open flat at 180 degrees and stay open while you write.

The pages are made with thin and lightweight yet durable Tomoe River paper, providing a smooth writing experience while holding ink well. The back of the book also includes bonus pages such as My 100, Favorites, the 365 Days Check-Off Sheet, Phrases to Break That Writer’s Block, Hard-to-Translate Japanese Words, and a Hobonichi’s Neighborhood map of Kanda and Jinbo-cho.
