This A6 notepad features “Ueda-san’s Summer of Hugs,” an oil-pastel piece by picture book artist and illustrator Keiko Shibata. Originally created for her 2017 solo exhibition, the cover depicts Ueda-san hugging a soft-serve ice cream, with vivid colors and expressive details that bring the scene to life.
The notepad contains 155 blank pages, each lightly printed with a pale blue-green illustration of Ueda-san hugging soft-serve ice cream. The pages are glued along the top, making them easy to tear out and use as shopping lists, quick notes, or messages to pass along.
