The "An Airport at Night" Techo Cover is a collaboration with picture book author Akiko Miyakoshi, inspired by the quiet moments and emotions experienced while traveling. Warm yellow lights glow against a tranquil black background, capturing the stillness of an airport at night and the feeling of imagining where another traveler might be headed.
The artwork flows continuously from the front cover across the back and into the inner right pocket, creating one large scene that captures the passage of time. Look inside the back pocket and you’ll notice that the bear walking through the original scene has disappeared, as if a little time has passed while you weren’t looking.
The cover is made from finely textured polyester to faithfully reproduce the delicate details and colors of Miyakoshi’s original artwork. Bright yellow ribbon bookmarks add a vibrant accent, while the inner left pocket features the words “Unforgettable Moments,” reflecting the theme behind the design.
The cover also features “butterfly-stopper” pen holders that secure your pens while doubling as a clasp to keep the cover closed. As you fill your techo throughout the year, let this cover accompany you on your own travels and everyday moments worth remembering.
