Capture the crisp beauty of Kyoto’s winter riverside with Kamogawa Yurikamome Ink from forme. Both the store and warehouse are located near the Kamo River, and passing by it each day inspired this original ink, created to express the river’s changing scenery through the seasons and throughout the day.
Kamogawa Yurikamome is inspired by the migratory birds that visit the Kamo River each winter. After traveling nearly 3,000 km from the Kamchatka Peninsula, they appear along the river from late November to late January. This ink reflects the clear winter air of the Kamogawa, with a pale blue-gray base and a bright, refreshing blue tone. Subtle flashes of navy emerge, reminiscent of the dark tips of the gulls’ wings. Enjoy the gentle gradation from light blue-gray to deep navy as it shifts on the page.
This ink contains no glitter, making it suitable for fountain pens while allowing the color’s natural depth and variation to shine depending on the paper.
The ink is packaged in a bagasse paper box made from sugarcane waste, an eco-friendly material that gives the packaging a soft, natural texture.
Even if only a little, we hope this ink lets you feel the quiet winter scenery of Kyoto’s Kamogawa River through your writing.
