Anchal is a non-profit social enterprise founded by sisters Colleen and Maggie Clines that empowers marginalized women in India through sustainable, income-generating careers in eco-friendly textiles. Blending traditional Kantha quilting with contemporary design, Anchal creates award-winning handmade products that draw inspiration from heritage artwork, vernacular architecture, and the makers’ own stories. Each piece is meticulously crafted by 180 artisans in Ajmer, India, using organic cotton or vintage sari fabric. Through this work, Anchal provides full-time employment, healthcare, design training, and educational workshops; creating lasting social impact while championing sustainability in the fashion industry.
