California Pen Show 2026!

This past weekend, the Mt. Fo’rest team attended the California Pen Show, taking the opportunity to deepen our knowledge and further explore the stationery community.
Returning this year felt especially meaningful. When we first attended just a year ago, we came with curiosity and a growing interest in fountain pens. This time, we were able to engage in more in-depth conversations, ask thoughtful questions, and better understand the craftsmanship behind the tools we love. It reminded us how important it is to continue learning and exploring as we grow.

We spent valuable time learning more about nib variations, writing experiences, and what distinguishes different pen models through conversations with makers like Sailor. Over the past year, we have also expanded our understanding of fountain pen inks, and it was inspiring to see how brands continue to innovate within the stationery space.

One of the highlights of the weekend was reconnecting with artists whose work we proudly carry in-store. It is always special to see their creations in person and continue building meaningful relationships within the stationery community.

It was equally meaningful to connect with Fo’rest Friends who attended the show and shared their stationery hauls with us. Moments like these remind us why we continue to learn, refine, and thoughtfully curate for our community.

The California Pen Show will always hold significance for us as the first show we attended at the beginning of our stationery journey. Returning each year allows us to reflect on how much we have grown and reinforces our commitment to continuing to explore, improve, and bring thoughtfully curated stationery to our Fo’rest.
